After graduating early, we are happy to welcome Cliff Seibert back from the Lonestar state to the Northbrook Sports Club management team!
How long have you been working at Northbrook Sports Club?
I have worked at Northbrook for most of my life in some capacity. I started refereeing FITASC and Sporting Clays events at our tournaments when I was 8 years old. Then, once I turned 15, I started working here during the summers and weekends throughout high school and college. If I was not in school, I was here working.
What is your new title?
Facilities Manager
What are you most excited about for your new role?
I am incredibly excited to help keep our club growing, beautiful, and efficient.
Could you tell us about your Texas A&M shooting career?
During my time at Texas A&M, I had the privilege of being part of the Trap and Skeet team for three very successful years, where we were fortunate enough to win three national championships consecutively. Additionally, I served as the club's Marketing Chair, and Vice President, contributing to the overall success and growth of the team.
What motivates you to continue growing your passion for shooting sports?
The community of shooters is what motivates me the most. I am a strong believer that there is not a collective community in sports that is kinder than clay shooters. Ensuring that they all have a great time visiting Northbrook is what motivates me.
What advice would you give to a younger shooter looking to start?
To younger shooters, I recommend approaching the sport with the mindset of getting out what you put in. If you want to be competitive, you should hold yourself to a high standard, analyzing your game with a fine-tooth comb and always looking for ways to improve. If you want to go out and have a good time, do just that. Shooting is the best sport because it can always be a refuge for you, no matter what life throws at you. You make it whatever you would like it to be, whether it’s a day out with friends, a competitive outlet, or just some relaxation time… Shooting is what you make it!
