Greetings, and Happy New Year!
I hope you and your family enjoyed a relaxing and memorable holiday season. As we begin 2026, I’d like to share an update on the priorities and initiatives your Board of Directors has set to continue strengthening Northbrook Sports Club for the years ahead.
Our commitment remains steadfast: to provide an exceptional clay-shooting experience, whether your passion is recreational shooting, instruction, or high-level competition. We are fortunate to steward a remarkable 735-acre campus that offers a wide range of shooting opportunities.
Last year, you approved our long-range capital plan, Northbrook 2030, created to responsibly invest in facilities that support both Club growth and the member experience. We are currently awaiting final approval from the Village of Hainesville on stormwater mitigation work. Once received, we will proceed with the construction of the new Member Cart Barn Rental Building and the new Pavilion Facility. We are optimistic about breaking ground this spring and targeting completion by the end of summer.
Members interested in reserving a cart space should contact our Assistant Manager, Debbie Loera, to be added to the list. We will also continue to reinvest in our facilities by restoring the exterior and interior of the 5-Stand Building.
In the coming year, we will further enhance member access and variety by activating two additional courses. Whether your interests include 5-Stand, Sporting, Super Sporting, FITASC, Bunker Trap, Skeet, Trap, or the Practice Grid, our goal is to ensure consistent, convenient, and enjoyable shooting opportunities.
Serving on the Board of Directors has been a great privilege, allowing me to give back to a Club that has provided so much enjoyment and lifelong friendships. This year, we invite members to take a more active role in shaping Northbrook’s future by participating in committees. Our working committees, Buildings & Grounds, Social, Finance, Corporate & Charity Events, Instructors, and Membership, have defined charges that are essential to advancing the Club’s mission and ensuring its continued strength.
If you are interested in serving, please submit your interest using the link included with this letter. Your time, ideas, and expertise are sincerely appreciated.
Thank you for the continued opportunity to serve as President of Northbrook Sports Club. Together, we will preserve what makes Northbrook special while continuing to improve the Club for future and next-generation members.
I look forward to seeing you around the Club.
Best regards, John Spidalette
