Winter Skeet Starts January 1st 2026

Winter Skeet Registration is Now Open!

It seems hard to imagine with the warm late summer days we are enjoying, but the 2026 winter skeet season is right around the corner! Registration is now open for winter skeet squads to participate in our club’s wonderful seasonal tradition of winter skeet shooting. This is a fantastic way to develop your skeet shooting skills, meet club members, get outside on a winter day, and simply enjoy the fun of shooting! Registration fees for 2026 winter skeet are $45 per shooter, $225 per 5-shooter team.

Below are key dates of the 2026 winter skeet season schedule:

October 1, 2025 –Winter skeet registration opens

November 16, 2025 - Winter skeet orientation breakfast and demo shoot for new league

shooters

December 15, 2025 – Winter skeet registration deadline

January 1, 2026 – First day of winter skeet league

April 4, 2025 – Final day of winter skeet league, Back of the Bus tournament, and awards banquet

Winter skeet is a handicapped league, meaning scores are adjusted based on a shooter’s

average to make developing shooters more competitive with experienced shooters. A winter

skeet event consists of 50 skeet targets - 25 standard targets followed by 25 doubles. Teams

consist of 5 shooters, and the top 4 scores from each 50-target event are totaled for the

team score.

2026 winter skeet will consist of a 5-shooter team league, an optional 2-shooter team bracket tournament, and an optional season-ending back of the bus event “for all the marbles” - open to all winter skeet shooters.

New shooters are always welcome! New shooters can register with a 5-person team, or the

winter skeet committee can add you to a team in need of an additional shooter.
