Skeet

In this discipline, participants use a shotgun to shoot at clay targets, commonly known as "clay pigeons," which are launched into the air from two trap houses. The shooting range, or skeet field, is designed with a semi-circular layout featuring seven shooting stations, with one station located at each end and one in the center

Trap

Trap shooting has been around since the 18th century. This discipline involves using a shotgun to shoot at clay targets that typically move away from the shooter. The targets are launched from a single trap house in the center of the field.

Sporting Clays

Sporting clays is a form of clay pigeon shooting that simulates the unpredictability of live-quarry shooting scenarios. Unlike traditional trap or skeet shooting, where targets follow fixed paths, sporting clays involves a series of stations, each with different shooting angles, target speeds, and flight paths.

FITASC

Is an international form of sporting clays. There will be 100 targets shot over 4 different parcours with 25 targets at each parcour. Participants are not on a stand and have a bit more movement freedom.

Shooting sports can improve hand-eye coordination, increase focus, and promote relaxation. It can also be a fun way to spend time outdoors and learn new skills. We welcome shooters of all skill levels and are dedicated to providing a safe and enjoyable experience to learn any discipline.

Bob Shuley

Level 1 NSSA Instructor

Bob has been shooting clay targets and upland game for more than 65 years. He has achieved the highest classification in all clay target disciplines - AAA in skeet, AA in trap, and Master Class in Sporting Clays. For the last 20 years, Bob has been working with the future generation of clay target shooters - specifically youth. Before the SCTP arrived, Bob taught the finer points of skeet shooting with a great degree of success. Today he works with SCTP shooters, especially the very young. His goal is to enable young shooters to out perform more experienced shooters through encouragement and mentoring - a process Bob calls “boot camp”. Bob enjoys watching junior shooters improve their shooting skills and achieving shooting success. Bob also works with experienced shooters who are looking for help with their skeet game.
